Answer their questions and follow up with them by asking for more even after they provide you their first offers.

2. Grants are typically funded by the federal government, your state, or college. They are much better than loans because they do not need to be paid back. Grants are often based on your financial circumstances. You can apply for grants by going to studentaid.gov
